Instructions for Authors

{{journal_title}} publishes original research across the full breadth of its discipline, with emphasis on work that advances both methodology and theory. We welcome submissions that engage rigorously with empirical evidence and contribute meaningfully to ongoing scholarly conversations.

Manuscripts must be submitted in English and prepared according to the specifications below. Submissions that do not conform to these requirements may be returned to authors without review.

All submissions must include the following declarations as a separate section at the end of the manuscript, preceding the references. Missing declarations will delay review.

Figures and tables should be self-contained and comprehensible without reference to the main text. Each must have a title and sufficient legend to stand alone.

Figures

• Submit figures as separate files at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi (TIFF, EPS, or high-quality PDF).
• Line art requires 600–1200 dpi. Photographs: 300 dpi minimum at final print size.
• Use a sans-serif typeface (e.g. Arial, Helvetica) for all labels; minimum 8 pt at intended print size.
• Colour figures: supply CMYK for print; RGB is acceptable for online-only publication.
• Number consecutively in the order of first citation: Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.
• Do not embed figures in the manuscript Word document; attach as separate files.

Tables

• Prepare tables in editable format within the manuscript document, not as images.
• Number consecutively: Table 1, Table 2, etc. Do not use "Table S1" for supplementary items — submit these in a separate supplementary file.
• Use plain borders only; avoid shading, merged cells, or decorative formatting.
• Define all abbreviations used in the table in a footnote below the table body.

{{journal_title}} follows the APA 7th edition citation style. Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all references. Cite only published or in-press work; personal communications require written permission from the source.

• In-text citations: (Author, Year) or Author (Year) for narrative citations.
• Multiple authors: cite up to two in-text; three or more use "et al." from first citation.
• Do not cite retracted articles unless the retraction itself is the subject of discussion.
• DOIs are mandatory where available; URLs must be functional at time of submission.

{{journal_title}} operates a double-anonymous peer review process. Both authors and reviewers remain unidentified to each other throughout the evaluation. The editorial team conducts an initial screening before external peer review is initiated.

Upon acceptance, manuscripts enter the production workflow. Authors should expect contact from our production team within five business days of the acceptance notification.

Submission is free of charge. Publication fees apply only to accepted manuscripts where authors opt into Open Access.
