Publication Ethics
VERALIS EVIDENCE PRESS is committed to the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices. All parties — authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher — share responsibility for integrity.
Scope
This policy applies to all journals, article types, and participants.
Policy
Integrity of the record
We publish original, valid research and maintain the version of record, correcting or retracting when necessary (see Corrections/Retractions).
Authors
Must ensure originality, accurate reporting, proper attribution and citation, disclosure of conflicts and funding, and ethical conduct of research (ethics approvals, consent, registration where applicable). Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, inappropriate image manipulation, and concurrent or duplicate submission are not permitted.
Editors
Make fair, independent decisions based on validity and relevance; manage conflicts of interest; ensure confidentiality and appropriate peer review; and act on suspected misconduct following COPE guidance.
Reviewers
Provide objective, timely, confidential assessments; declare conflicts; and do not use privileged information obtained through the review process.
The publisher
Provides the systems, training, and oversight to uphold these standards, and supports editorial independence.
Misconduct
Misconduct is investigated per COPE flowcharts and may result in rejection, correction, retraction, notification of institutions, and other proportionate actions with due process.

How this applies
Declarations are captured at submission; screening and review enforce these standards; post-publication concerns follow defined procedures (SOPs, Doc 5).
